Telesales Operative
Intergas Heating Ltd. are looking for an enthusiastic Telesales Operative to help generate sales by contacting potential or existing customers to inform them about a product or service using scripts in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for influencing existing or potential customers to buy products or services and follow up on our existing installer database to maintain regular communication and update our installers on promotions, future events, and general warranty information. A successful Telesales Operative must be friendly and persuasive and represent the company in a professional manner. You must be able to understand the customer’s requirements in a short time and present solutions that meet their needs. The ideal candidate will also be patient and cool-tempered to deal with aggressiveness and complaints.
The successful candidate will report to the Marketing Communications Manager and work closely with the Regional Sales Managers. The goal is to promote business growth by expanding the company’s clientele and be part of the marketing / sales team.
Responsibilities
- Calling existing Installer, merchant, and consumer databases to generate sales and sales leads.
- Work through databases to achieve set goals and targets
- To provide a professional and welcoming response to both outgoing and incoming calls
- Use scripts to provide information about product’s features, prices etc. and present their benefits.
- Adjust sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of specific individuals
- Ask pertinent questions to understand the customer’s requirements
- Record the customer’s personal information accurately in a computer system
- Telephone or write letters to respond to correspondence from customers or to follow up initial sales contacts.
- Follow up on installers who have been on Intergas training courses.
- Carry out telephone research with installers and merchants.
- Deal with any complaints or doubts to safeguard the company’s reputation
- To assist with all aspects of marketing activities, to support the sales team and assisting other team members as needed
- Go the “extra mile” to provide friendly customer service and advice
- Keep records of calls and sales and record useful information
- Provide reports and analysis to the Marketing Manager and help produce presentations to show results.
Requirements
- Proven experience as telemarketer or similar sales/customer service role
- Be well-presented, confident with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM and Microsoft packages) and telephone systems
- Have confidence to deal with people of a variety of backgrounds and levels
- Be creative and able to work proactively to support with marketing activities
- Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently
- Skilled in negotiation and dealing with any complaints
- Persistent and results-oriented
- Patient and able to handle customer rejection
- GCSE grades C and above
